Disease: Toxocariasis Ocular larva migrans (OLM) Visceral larva migrans (VLM)
Symptoms: Abdominal pain, gastrointestinal symptoms, weakness, prurits. Visual disturbance, endophthalmitis, retinal granuloma. Fever, hepatomegaly, coughing, asthma or pneumonia.
Mechanism of Infection: Infection after ingesting infective Toxocara eggs from larvae in soil or other contaminated surfaces.
