Real-time reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) multiplexed assay intended for the simultaneous, qualitative detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A virus and influenza B virus genomic RNA.

  • Can be processed in parallel with RSV A, RSV B RT-PCR in the same plate using the same temperature profile
  • Validated sample material: nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab, nasal wash/swab

Disease: COVID-19

Symptoms: It can present as an asymptomatic infection, a mild respiratory tract infection, or a severe pneumonia with respiratory failure and even death. The incubation period ranges from 2-14 days (5 days on average), and symptoms can include fever, cough, and shortness of breath

Mechanism of Infection: Primarily transmitted between people through respiratory droplets and contact routes
