
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay intended for the qualitative detection of IgG antibodies against Chlamydia trachomatis in human serum or plasma (citrate, heparin).
Disease: Trachoma Lymphogranuloma Venereum (LGV). Urogenital infections
Symptoms: Bilateral conjunctivitis with foreign body sensation, tearing eyes, and discharge of serous secretions from the eye. Genital lesion; swelling of the inguinal and femoral lymph nodes; formation of suppurating buboes. In men: Inflammation of the urethra (urethritis), inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis) and the epididymis (epididymitis). Sterility (infertility). In women: Inflammation of the urethra (urethritis), Bartholin's glands, inflammation of the cervix (cervicitis), uterine mucous membrane (endometritis) and fallopian tubes (salpingitis) and vaginal discharge Sterility (Infertility)
Mechanism of Infection: Sexually transmitted. Can be passed from an infected mother to her baby during childbirth
